Vacationers showing up in the United States on the principal day the worldwide travel boycott was lifted were blessed to receive celebrations the nation over.

English Airways invited travelers Monday to John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York with glazed treats formed like yellow city taxis and enormous apples.

In Manhattan, the Empire State Building streaked red, white and blue lights, and a pennant at the highest point of Red Steps in Times Square said: “Welcome Back World!”
